Every man wants to be successful, but very few of us ever stop to ask ourselves what success actually means.
Is it money? Is it status? Is it freedom? Family? Purpose? Or have we simply accepted someone else's definition of success without ever questioning it?
Research consistently shows that many people still tie success closely to their careers. Yet, at the same time, Europe records some of the lowest employee engagement levels in the world. In fact, only around 20% of employees globally say they feel engaged at work—and that figure drops to just 12% in Europe. At the same time, being busy has become a modern badge of honour. Somewhere along the way, we've started treating exhaustion as a sign of ambition, and long working hours as proof that we're successful.
