In these chapters Taytum finds out that James is gone. While she tries to navigate through her grief, Ryder tries to be there for her the best way he knows how but when a sudden wave of panic comes over Taytum at the bar Ryder tries to calm her with one of his stupid jokes. Once they get back to Ryder’s house Taytum is scared that her grief will be too much for Ryder.
