Churches count baptisms, tithes, and attendance because numbers are easy to track. When statistics become the scoreboard, evangelism turns into self-promotion. Paul warns that comparing ourselves among ourselves is foolish. Denominational credentials, committee titles, and crusade totals do not impress God. The real question cuts straight to identity: if every church office and public accolade were stripped away, who are you before the cross? Faithful ministry never builds a résumé. It points to Christ.
