The idea of spiritual warfare (&how it can free you)
It sounds weird to say now, but when I found out that spiritual warfare was a legit thing, it actually was such a relief. I had internalized all of my anxieties, panics and worries as something being wrong with me, and that I needed to stop being weak minded. And while I’ll forever preach the importance of being mentally strong, I think there’s a difference between spiritual warfare and weakness. Spiritual warfare happens to each of us, whereas weakness just enables it to happen more. And that’s basically what this bad boy’s about! Thanks for hanging out with me fam- you da best(:
People Pleasing
Although I’ve had a change in careers, teaching has left one of the biggest impacts on my heart. In the years of teaching, I found myself witnessing struggles in my students that I used to have as a teenager as well. It’s created the strong desire in me to make resources for teens and young adults (and adults in general!) who find themselves struggling, and in need of a little extra encouragement. That being said, I want to dive in to some of the hard hitting topics, starting with people pleasing. I wanna start by referencing Galatians 1:10 where Paul is talking about seeking God‘s approval over seeking human approval. If you are someone who has dealt with trying to shrink yourself, change yourself, or mold yourself into someone you’re not for the sake of others approval, then this is for you. As always, thanks for listening and hanging out with me! I hope you found some encouragement in today’s episode.
A Realistic Walk
A short, sweet, and to-the-point episode! If you've ever found yourself wondering if you’re doing this whole Christian thing right, this one’s for you. Here’s your quick reminder that your walk with Christ can (and will be) messy at points! That’s okay!!! And totally normal! Be encouraged ya’ll. You’re doing great 🫶🏼
Battling Anxiety
We’re talking about anxiety today, guys- something that too many of us are all too familiar with! as my disclaimer- this is my personal opinion based off of my encounters with anxiety. I am not a medical professional. Please seek professional help and/or advice if you struggle with mental health. ❤️‍🩹 A Few Notes: verse reference at the 17:05 mark- Matthew 7:11 In minute 21- meant to be spiritual, mental, and PHYSICAL health (🙃) Hoping and praying that the Holy Spirit speaks to someone through this!! You guys are the best. I love you to pieces 🫶
The Care, Love, and Provision of Jesus
Here’s a quick little snippet of my personal testimony! At a time where I felt defeated, hopeless, and overwhelmed, Jesus showed me that He cares about me more than I can comprehend. I used to have a bad habit of perceiving Jesus as strictly a disciplinary figure, so when I experienced His care and provision first hand, it broke me (in the best way)! If you’re someone who feels stuck and thinks Jesus doesn’t care about your struggle, this one’s for you! As a side note, any and all feedback is always welcome! I love to hear your thoughts and comments! Thanks for hanging out with me you guys🫶 you’re the best!
He is Loving
It’s a concept most people have heard, but I wonder how many people really sit and digest what it means to have a loving God. So that’s the focus of this one! In this episode we touch on just one example of how Jesus loves. And I gotta admit- tackling this characteristic was intimidating! I’m not sure I can even scratch the surface of how loving He is but we tried anyway! Hopefully you find something valuable within this episode. Thanks for following along!<3
He’s Personable
I wanna take some time to step away from the “rules” of Christianity, and really focus on who this Jesus guy is in the first place. Why is He such a big deal and why is there so much controversy over him? This all stems from my firm belief that you have to know someone before you can fully love them. So that’s what this next little series will be over! We’re keeping it at bite-sized discussions for the sake of getting straight to the point! The first characteristic we’re looking at is how personable he is. I hope you leave this episode having a little more clarity on who it is that us Christians follow.<3
Call it a Revival
Hey you guys!! It’s been a minute, but let me tell ya- the Holy Spirit has been working in me and I’m excited to bring some new and improved episodes back to this platform! We’ll call this the Revival episode because, let’s be honest, that’s exactly what’s going on in the world right now, including on this podcast :) Praying that the Holy Spirit brings comfort and encouragement to someone listening to this! thanks for listening <3
Season 3
I’m Overstimulated!
Hiiiii you guys!! This week is a deep dive into the concept of being “overstimulated”. This all ties into Ephesians 6:10-13, which discusses the spiritual warfare that’s constantly at hand. In short- our mindset and heart posture is everything!!! I hope you find encouragement today<3 Thanks for hanging out!! I love you guys to pieces!
