The UHN EM Newsflash is a monthly update about all things research, QI, and global health equity in the department of Emergency Medicine of UHN. In May's episode, EM staff are reminded: use the "FAST-HCV and FAST-HIV" panel order for all ED patients in priority populations where the status of either of these infections remains unknown; deadlines for 2026 Research Awards and 2026 Scholarly Writing Awards; reminder about opportunities for contribution (TAAAC-EM, Sioux Lookout EM Partnership) Accreditation application for the Senior's Emergency Medicine Centre at UHN (!!); nomination deadlines for upcoming awards; support staff departures from the EM Research Team and new arrivals.
