If God isn't pleased with your life, what will He do for you? In this pursuit to becoming heirs our growth needs to be in the direction of attaining God's approval. God blesses those whose life pleases Him. In Timothy it talks about concentrating to show ourselves approved of God. True spiritual growth is growing in how one's life pleases God. Jesus was a son who God was pleased with, so must we be also. Without this direction our growth will be random. We will lack a life that can receive anything God wants to bring our way.
