This week we are coving the Dinterlands Merchant Fleet and the associated ships built by our master craftsmen, the Forgeborn. Slowed down by their more tedious and religious ways of creating everything as a work of art, the Forgeborn of the Dinterlands have many unique and powerful ships. Because of this, we've had to group them into classes more so based off of description than actually builds or blueprints. Here they are: BargesThese are the backbone of any cargo operation in the Dinterlands. Made to be small but still house enough items to turn a profit. BuggiesThe combative vessels of the Merchant Fleet. These ships are the only kind not made to hold cargo but instead fight off enemy raiding vessels. Water BagsLarge cargo ships with the ability to haul more than just a simple profit turning amount of cargo. BaddiesThe ultimate ship in a Barron's personal fleet of ships. The Theocracy's Navy Ship Types and Tactics | Tales of Agmar
This week we are covering the Theocracy's Navy. If you're a fan of steampunk or dieselpunk you'll like where this faction is headed. The head of the Theocracy has his people working towards building a better life for themselves. Having only recently broken away from both the Middle Kingdom and the Dinter Lords. This was within the past 100 years. To achieve this, they need a navy powerful enough to prevent their old rulers from ever getting close enough. This new navy is unlike anything modern Agmar has seen and includes ships such as: CutterSmall and close to what one could call a speed boat; the cutter is able to work both on the open ocean and in deeper land locked bodies of water. FrigateA generalist similar to the Ships of the Line from the Middle Kingdom; these frigates are no longer made of wood and canvas. Instead, they are pure metal monsters and the first ships the Theocracy ever used against their enemies. LancerThanks to the Forgeborn's RND abilities, Lancers and the newest ships in the fleet. These will be key to getting the upper hand on the Middle Kingdom and freeing the Colonies. The Middle Kingdom's Navy Ship Types and Tactics | Tales of Agmar
This week we cover everything that the Middle Kingdom, and by extension house Wynholt, have to offer on the high seas. The Queen and her noble council have yet to improve upon the age of sail technology they have been using for the past 100+ years as it has been deemed adequate. Instead, they believe that numbers are the answer to witling down the Theocracy threat. Because of this the following ship types will be discussed: Ships of the LineThe standard warship and the queen's current favorite for its low cost and shorter time commitment GalleonsLarger and slower ships that have the ability to bring massive ballista arrays to bear, the queen isn't too keen on building more of these. Carrack Troop CarriersAs the name implies, this ship is useful for carrying troops and supplies from the Middle Kingdom proper to any battle ground on Agmar.
