Dr Lloyd Matowe left his job at the Global Fund when he realised that his services were needed in his continent. He founded Pharmaceutical Systems Africa (PSA) whose mission is to work with developing countries to build sustainable capacity in pharmaceutical supply system management. His main message from the interview was "build capacity in Africa so that Africans can solve their own problems"

Eomba Motomoke - Public Health Supply Chain

#4 Motomoke talks of how she managed to tackle racism, gender discrimination and make it in Public Health Supply Chain. In this episode, I chat with Eomba Motomoke, who is currently serving as the Technical Assistant in Supply Chain and Performance Improvement at PNAM. Eomba has had an interesting journey with an educational background to creating with is used by the World Health Programme. A multilinguistic, with a career spanning over 20 years, she details the issues she has had to face including racial profiling, gender discrimination among others. With a technical mastery of public health supply chain management, youth, women/gender issues Eomba is a force to reckon with.

In this episode, Modibo and I spoke about how he rose from engineering to health supply chain, his work on fostering for immunization in Mali and great West Africa. He also spokes on racial profiling that comes with working abroad, the highs and lows of a career in the supply chain, his Motto which is quality in everything and the gender gap that is currently being faced in the supply chain.
