In this adult study, we explore what Scripture means when it calls the Church the pillar and ground of the truth. God does not leave truth floating in the world without protection. From the beginning, He chose to preserve His revelation through a people, first Israel, and now the Church. Christ establishes one Church to guard one faith, not through personal opinion, but through apostolic succession and the work of the Holy Spirit.

We also address why God allows divisions and false teachings to exist. God permits freedom, even the freedom to reject truth, because faith cannot be forced. At the same time, the existence of error does not mean truth has been lost. The Orthodox Church remains united in doctrine across time and culture, preserving what was handed down from the Apostles.
