Today Kat tells us the story of Cropsey, the boogeyman of Staten Island. Like all good bogeymen Cropsey was a way for parents to get their children to behave. Just follow these rules:

• Don’t wander off or Cropsey will steal you away
• Be back home by nightfall or Cropsey will get you
• Don’t go anywhere alone or Cropsey will get you
• If you go into this abandoned building or that empty house Cropsey will snatch you

Kids who didn't follow the rules risked certain death by Cropsey. But there was some truth to this scary urban legend.  Kat gives us the inside story.
