Forgiveness is an essential quality of Christian leadership because it reflects the heart and character of Christ. As leaders, we are called to model the same grace and mercy that God has shown us. Scripture teaches that forgiveness is not optional for believers, but a command that promotes healing, unity, and spiritual growth. When Christian leaders choose forgiveness over bitterness, they demonstrate humility, maturity, and obedience to God.
The Bible reminds us in Ephesians 4:32 to “be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Forgiveness does not ignore wrongdoing, but it releases resentment and allows God to bring restoration.
