Salvation:

Welcome back to Five Minute Bible study. Today we’re talking about one of the most important themes in the entire Bible: Salvation. What does it mean to be saved, and why does it matter?

The Problem – To understand salvation, we first need to understand the problem.

The Bible teaches that all of us have sinned. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”Sin is anything that separates us from God—our actions, thoughts, or attitudes that go against His will.

Because God is holy and just, sin has consequences. Romans 6:23 tells us, “For the wages of sin is death…” This isn’t just physical death—it’s spiritual separation from God.

So the problem is clear: We are separated from God, and we cannot fix it on our own.
