Mick Derrick is the co-founder and owner of Trash Cult, an iconic cult culture record store, bookshop and live music venue in Eaglehawk on Bendigo's northern outskirts. Along with his wife Lorelle, Mick has created a go-to destination for anyone interested in alternative pop culture as well as a highly sought after regional venue for independent bands wanting to play in an intimate and unique live music environment.

Along the journey Mick and Lorelle have been faced with their share challenges including having live music shut down by Liquor Licensing due to an administrative bungle by a consultant and the ensuing fight to have local council approve their bid to have live music reinstated amongst strong local support.
