Music Executive Jason Flom on Criminal Justice Reform and the Songs That Help Him Get By
The Sound of Success with Nic Harcourt by Nude & Ginger
Episode notes
Jason Flom is an influential figure in both the social justice and music worlds — he is a criminal justice reform advocate and has also served as the former chair and CEO of Atlantic Records and Virgin Records/Capitol Music Group, discovering Tori Amos and Stone Temple Pilots, before launching Lava Records and the careers of Lorde and Katy Perry. He is the founding board member of the Innocence Project and is also the host of the popular and influential "Wrongful Conviction" podcast, featuring interviews with men and women who have spent decades in prison for crimes they did not commit. He joins Nic to talk about his work righting the wrongs of America's badly flawed justice system and the songs and artists that have made him the person he is today.
