In this message, we tackle one of the most repeated phrases Christians say in hard seasons: “God will never give you more than you can handle.” It sounds encouraging—but when you’re overwhelmed, anxious, and barely holding it together, it can feel like a burden instead of comfort. Scripture shows something different: God never promised life would stay manageable. In fact, even Paul admitted he was “burdened beyond measure” (2 Corinthians 1), and God used that moment to shift his trust off himself and onto the God who raises the dead.
The hope isn’t that you’ll be strong enough—it’s that God’s grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12).
