Soft Power, Hard Peace

by Dr. Sarah Nicole Sanders
Season 2
The Neutral Focus on Safety
How does neutrality of an assessment impact or affect the essence of the focus on safety? I continue to remind you all that the essence of the matter of safety is dependent and thrives fluently in the mere presence of the ability to assess conflict from a holistic point of view.
Creating the Comfortable Safe Talk Zone from a Mediator’s Perspective

To Moot or Not to Moot
What if your strong personal views were the root cause of your difficulties making the right timing for the necessary leap over the hurdle of conflict resolution? Practice with sessions that give that real simulation to life situations can help improve the way you factor timing and other essentials into the art of mediation.
Evaluating New Case Files and the First Mediation Session
The fears of mediation do not always lie with conflicting parties. New Mediators can sometime experience the fear of the very first leap into the profession.
Season 1
Mediation: A Season of Moving Forward
The fear and uncertainty can be the biggest roadblocks of conflict resolution. Common issues can be ignored if the people do not take that leap in seeking help from a professional who can offer the right guidance.
The Value of Compromise
The sight of disconnected communities drives me to circle back down the lane of my first opportunity of mending relations in between the divided. I have mended relations under many and very different hats!
Compromise: Meeting with Silver, Not Holding Gold or Bronze
What if the focus for sole control of the golden prize was breaking the mutual relations and the connection of reaching a fair goal, at least halfway with the opponent to share the pleasures of silver treasures together? As mentioned, the halfway mark of conflict resolution requires cooperation.
The Enlightenments of Change
What if the negative focus on the subject matter of the conflict was breaking the stride to success? Successful mediation requires parties to work together on forming a positive outcome together. As parties reach the top of the bridge of conflict, the final stretch is not always at fast pace. Equal opportunity from standing at the bridge together should open equal opportunity to glimpse of the possible enlightenments of change.
Battles of Imbalanced Conflicts
Question, does the weight of the battle one party contributes tilt and imbalanced scale? Conflict(s) may cause the feeling as if the weight of one party bare in the battle tilts to one side. The burdens of conflict may simulate a feeling that feels as if the weight possessed by one side of the conflict dips below the degree of fairness.
