SmackDaddies 260 -Everything is better at elevation
Brad the Dad is joined by Erik B while Greg is away on a “special assignment.” This week, SmackDown comes to us from Mexico City, where apparently everything is better at elevation—including the wrestling. With four title matches and one major title change, this show shakes up SmackDown and hopefully creates enough chaos to get people coming back for more. Which championship changed hands? What side tangents do Brad and Erik go on about wrestling and pop culture? And what exactly has Erik been up to all these months? Find out the answers to these questions and more on SmackDaddies Episode 260! Check us out at SmackDaddies.ca 🎥 https://www.youtube.com/@Smack-Daddies

SmackDaddies 259 - The SmackDown I Might Watch

SmackDaddies 258 - The SmackDown I Didn’t Watch
SmackDown this week was pre-recorded on Monday, August 24th. So, we read the spoilers. And after reading the spoilers, neither of us watched SmackDown. But we’ll talk about what we read, and why WWE is being lazy. Check us out at SmackDaddies.ca 🎥 https://www.youtube.com/@Smack-Daddies
SmackDaddies 257 - A Tradition of Losers, Since 1967
Yeah..Greg was right… we can’t have nice things. We’re in Toronto tonight. The show wasn’t terrible, until you got to the end. It put Greg and Brad in a mood. Programming Notice - With Taped Shows next two weeks, we’re likely phoning it in too. Check us out at SmackDaddies.ca 🎥 https://www.youtube.com/@Smack-Daddies
SmackDaddies 256 - Why?
We were excited to watch SmackDown this week from Boston. WWE managed to take that joy and stomp on it. The first half of the show was pretty great. All things considered. Then it took a nose-dive off a cliff. Next week is Toronto, how can WWE make it worse? Tune in to find out. Check us out at SmackDaddies.ca 🎥 youtube.com/Smack-Daddies

Alleluia, the two hour SmackDown era has returned. We’re across the pond this week, on a show taped on Tuesday but making you believe it’s Friday. This show was overall pretty fun. The Danhausen and his Legion of Danhausen, the introduction of “Matt Ryder”, Blake Monroe’s debut, Paige and Nathan Frazer wrestling at home. The MFTs are done. We highlight a new person on Bloodline Be-Gone. And we prepare you for Night(Afternoon) of Champions. The Hub’s - Wrestlepalooza Review
WWE begins the ESPN era tonight, and frankly, it wasn’t great. This 6 match card was very skippable. And if you’re not in the US and watching on Netflix, you never want to watch a PLE live again. We started with John Cena and Brock. Paul E is back in Brock’s corner again, and Brock destroys Cena. The Usos vs the Brons with The LA Knight as special referee was a spot fest. Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky put on a hell of match. Booker T is probably reaching for a towel somewhere. The post match respect angle and Vaquer celebrating with her father was the second best thing on this show. Maybe the best thing. CM Punk and AJ Lee took on the Pop-Tart Twins of Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins. This was an AEW tag match that made it on WWE TV. If you like tag wrestling, don’t watch this. The highlight of the night was Undertaker announcing that he was inducting Steph McMahon into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame was a surprising segment. I really want to see the view from the Gorilla position on this one. The main event was Cody and Drew. Don’t worry if you missed this, they’ll be doing this match again in Australia next month. Season 2
SmackDaddies 254 - My Wife Has Some Notes for AEW
While everyone else in the wrestling world is talking about SummerSlam, Brad finally convinced his wife to sit down and talk about her experience at AEW Redemption in Montreal last Sunday night. She may not know the names of most of the wrestlers—or even entirely understand why they’re fighting—but that doesn’t stop her from having some strong opinions. We discuss the characters who caught her attention, the parts of the show she enjoyed and what AEW could do differently to attract more casual viewers and a larger female audience. Along the way, she delivers some surprisingly thoughtful criticism, several hot takes and more than a few good jokes at the expense of wrestlers she can only identify by their outfits, hair and general vibes. Forget the star ratings. This is the AEW review that actually matters. Check us out at SmackDaddies.ca 🎥 youtube.com/Smack-Daddies
