Injustice is one of the most painful realities of human experience, but Psalm 82 makes clear that God is not a passive observer. He stands as the ultimate judge over every authority, whether human rulers or spiritual powers, and holds them accountable for how they treat the vulnerable. Those in positions of power are charged to protect the weak, the fatherless, and the destitute, and when they fail, the very foundations of the world are shaken. The cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ stand as the greatest demonstration of God's justice, proving that no injustice has the final word. Every person who holds authority, whether as a parent, employer, teacher, or leader, will one day give an account for how they used it.
