Christmas is an awesome and powerful time. It is a promise fulfilled, the birth of unending hope, and speaks about the impact of our choices. Jesus’ birth and life are proof of his ability to identify with the rejected and the neglected, the oppressed and the misunderstood, the outcasts and the poor. You can’t tell Jesus, “He doesn’t get it.” Isaiah 5:3 makes it clear that He indeed understands suffering and sorrow and struggle and challenge.
