For nearly seven years, I hid behind the illusion of a “white picket fence” life while my alcoholism and prescription drug abuse spiraled out of control. Even with a thriving career in finance, I was blind to the destruction building beneath the surface. My world eventually collapsed. I lost the trust of my family, my friends, and my fiancée.
