In this podcast, we discover what inspired author Holly Webb to write her first Animal Stories book. The series has gone on to inspire children around the world to read, and Holly has just written the 50th story in the series, A Puppy's First Christmas. Here, she talks about some of the pets have that helped inspire her stories about animals, and why she feels the books have been such a success.
Jason Cockcroft introduces We Were Wolves In this ReadingZone podcast, students Mihai, Alex and Elizabeth from The Carlton Academy interview Jason Cockcroft and ask him about his new book, We Were Wolves (Andersen Press). During the podcast, Jason talks about how his relationship with his father helped to inspire We Were Wolves, which focuses on a boy’s relationship with his father, as well as who helped inspire his characters, issues around mental health, the illustrations Jason created for We Were Wolves, and the wolf motif that runs through his novel, as well as some writing tips.
