Brad and James have a packed episode this week, with playoff updates and some big coaching news.
East Webster took care of Nettleton in the quarterfinals of the Class 3A baseball playoffs (2:26). Up next for the Wolverines is a showdown with Mooreville. In 4A, South Pontotoc pulled off another walk-off win to advance to the North finals (6:16), and Eli Holloway was once again at the center of the action.
In the softball playoffs, Myrtle beat Smithville three games and next faces Pine Grove in the 1A North finals (4:13). In 3A, Mantachie dethroned three-time reigning state champ Booneville and now gets Kossuth (5:01).
Starkville made a big coaching hire last week, landing six-time state champ Anthony Carlyle to lead the boys basketball program (10:12). New Albany's girls have turned to proven winner Roman Doty (12:06).
