Joe sits down this week with Scott Welker. Scott is an HOA Attorney who is associated with the Miller Harrison Law Firm. Joe and Scott go over and explain recent updates and laws passed within the most recent legislative session that impact HOA and other community developments. These updates include information on signs, "Water Wise" landscaping, electric vehicles and charging stations, HOA records requests, and solar energy.
In this week's episode, Joe sits down with fellow property manager, Charles Blackwood to discuss the relationship between a property manager and the HOA's Board of Directors and what that entail . Charles and Joe combined have over 60 years of property management experience and plenty of stories to to tell. His clients include builders, developers, contractors, property owners and property managers. Béat is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) & Community Insurance & Risk Management Specialist (CIRMS). He is an active board member of the Salt Lake Home Builders Association and a committee member of the Utah Chapter of the Community Associations Institute. He has served as a coverage expert and expert witness in his specialty fields and was also named one of the top 100 insurance producers in the nation in 2017.
