Episode 31- Herculean Effort

After Alexander's stunning victory against Darius at Issus, the Macedonian army moves further south into the Levant, inching slowly toward Egypt. Along the way, the Island city of Tyre puts up stiff resistance as Alexander and the army use some creative engineering to reach the city.

Episode - 30 The Empire Strikes Back

We continue Alexander's conquests as the King marches deeper into Persian territory. Meanwhile, stirrings from the deep unfold as Darius begins a retaliatory campaign in the Aegean Sea and raises an army to defend his empire. The first showdown between Alexander and Darius begins.

Episode 29 - Like Father, Like Son

In the aftermath of the battle at the Grancius River, Alexander begins his conquest of the Persian Empire, swallowing up Asia Minor. We pause for a portrait and unveil a mysterious plot to kill the King.

Episode 28 - Go East Young Man

Alexander sets off on the Persian Invasion, the dream of his father now realized by the son. However, time is ticking for the Macedonian army as Alexander must force a decisive battle sooner rather than later.

Episode 27 - Making Peace

After quelling the revolts in Thrace and Illyria, news spreads into Greece that Alexander has died. This prompted Thebes and Athens to declare freedom from the Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander is forced to return south, intending to force peace on his enemies.

Episode 26 - Following the Leader

Alexander sets out into the Balkans to deal with uprisings in Thrace and Illyria. This will be his first test as King and commander of the Macedonian army; will Alexander prove to everyone watching that he is a son worthy of his father?

Episode 25 - The King is Dead, Long Live the King

Philip is now dead; Alexander is acclaimed king hours after his father's death. Immediately Alexander begins to deal with threats both domestically and foreign.

Episode 24 - The Greco-Persian Wars

We cover Darius and Xerxes' conflicts with the Greeks. After that, we touch briefly on the rest of the Persian monarchs to bring us in line with the narrative which ended with Philip's death in 336 BC

Episode 23 - The Persian Conspiracy

The Great King Cyrus is dead. His sons have inherited their domains and are ruling, but madness ensues and 9 years after the death of Cyrus, a new man Darius sits on the throne. How did it happen and what's the truth?

Episode 22 - Looking East

We gaze east to see the land that Alexander will conquer in the coming years. How did the Persian Empire come about, and what set them on their collision course with the Greek Mainland?
