Conversation One: When God Moved Them

What happens when you have no strategy left, no escape route, and no time even to formulate a prayer?

In this opening conversation of The Mystery of Divine Intervention, we enter the battlefield of 2 Chronicles 18, where King Jehoshaphat suddenly finds himself surrounded by enemy commanders who believe they have found the king they were ordered to kill.

The danger is immediate. The enemy is already closing in.

And Scripture records one simple response:

“Jehoshaphat cried out.”

We are not told what he said. We do not know whether his cry came from faith, desperation, or fear. But heaven recognized the voice of a man who knew where his help came from. ...
