Exodus 20:15.

We have been studying the book of Exodus and we have slowed down to walk through each of the Ten Commandments.

The Ten Commandments are the summation of all the laws. God has given us the law so that we can know how God desires His people to live. At Mount Sinai, God gave Israel His law, but only after they entered into a covenant relationship with Him. God's grace precedes the law. The law shows us how to live, but it doesn't grant us access to God

The heart of the law is to love God and love your neighbor as yourself. We have seen that the first four commands were specific to loving God, and the last six are about loving our neighbors as a result of loving God. We love God and our neighbor by honoring our parents, by loving life, loving our spouse, and we love God and our neighbor by respecting their property. ...
