Dinah's Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie recipe:

1 1/2 cup sifted flour, 1teaspoon soda, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 cup shortening, 3/4 cup white sugar, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 2eggs, 1teaspoon hot water,2 cups oatmeal, 1 teaspoon vanilla.
