All Hail Di Vidos

Nukleopatra - making a Dead Or Alive album with Barry Stone by Viking Ventures

Episode notes

Di Vidos talks to Barry this episode about her fascinating journey with Dead Or Alive which began in 1984 when Di was part of the management team CMO. Di became a close friend to the band and played a huge part in their success - it was Di who suggested the band should go to Japan! Encouraged by photographer friends Mario Testino and Paul Cox it was during those early trips to Japan that Di first photographed Dead Or Alive. Her photographs of Pete were used throughout the Nukleopatra era and many of her shots became the cover images for versions of the album released around the world. Barry gives his insight into recording the tracks ‘Picture This’, ‘Getting It On’ and the album’s title track ‘Nukleopatra’.
