Christ’s coming into the world some 2000 years ago was the fulfillment of promises God had made many centuries earlier. While those who originally heard the promises may not have seen their fulfillment in their lifetimes, they were gifted with hope. Today we await the second coming of Christ and the renewal of all things. Regardless of the year in which this second coming takes place, we too have hope, and so we wait with patience, trust with confidence, and hold fast to the love of God.
