It does not require elevated observational skills to know that Christians hold different ideas from one another on all kinds of topics. Yet there is a fundamental unity those same Christians share at the deepest of levels, a unity that the Bible (1) declares to already exist, (2) instructs us to pursue and increase, and (3) asks God to provide in our midst.
