Christians today share so much in common with the priests to whom God spoke through Malachi. The first thing we share is being loved by God. In his love, God called the priests of Malachi’s day—just as he calls us today—to speak on his behalf. From here, however, our commonalities with those priests tend not to be something to celebrate. It turns out that we share a similar problem and a similar warning from God. Thankfully the way forward that God had for those priests is not all that different from the way he provides for us: listen to true instruction.
