The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is THE salvation event for humankind. Christ alone has the words, the authority and the essential nature that make it possible for people to join him in going from death to life. Even from before the time of Moses, God centered the rescue and restoration of his people on the coming of Christ, his death on the cross and his resurrection from the dead.
