That Jesus is God sets him and the Christian faith apart from all would-be gods and human religious traditions and philosophies. Since Jesus is God, just being in relationship with him—belonging to him—also means his followers are filled in him. The Bible describes this fullness in terms of things like salvation, grace, having eternal purpose, being a son or daughter of God, receiving forgiveness, being reconciled, etc. Our relationship with Jesus is everything.
