Good morning. North Dakota. I'm Michael Nally.
Step outside right now and you'll feel something weird for early March. We're running nearly 40 degrees warmer than normal. Bismarck hits 68 degrees this afternoon. Fargo climbs to 60. Minot reaches 59. That's spring preview weather in the first week of March.
But here's the catch. This warmth comes with a price.
The wind is absolutely howling today. Gusts reach 48 miles an hour up north, 38 miles an hour through central areas. A Wind Advisory runs until 7 P.M. For western and central counties. Secure anything loose outside — trash cans, patio furniture, your neighbor's trampoline. This wind will move it all.
