Good evening. North Carolina. I'm Aaron Jolly.
Step outside and you're feeling real warmth, we're sitting at 70 degrees right now. That's well above normal for mid-March, it feels more like late April out there.
But This is the calm before a very big storm.
Sunday starts deceptively quiet, highs climb to the low 70s across the Piedmont and Triangle. Asheville stays cooler in the low 60s, you'll notice clouds increasing through the afternoon.
As the sun sets. Scattered storms fire up after 3 P.M. The best chance to see rain is between 4 P.M. and 8 P.M. Most of us stay dry tonight, but lows remain mild in the mid 40s to near 50.
Now for Monday. A strong cold front sweeps in early.
