You know that gray, damp blanket that's been sitting on us all day? It's finally losing its grip. A wedge of cool air got trapped against the mountains. Classic cold air damming. That stalled front to our south kept drizzle and clouds locked in place. but tonight, the whole setup starts falling apart.
In the next 24 hours. Fair warning though. Patchy dense fog rolls in after midnight. Lows settle into the low to mid 40s. If you're driving late, take it slow. That fog can get thick enough to swallow your headlights.
Now the payoff. Saturday morning starts soupy, but once that fog burns off by late morning, temperatures take off. Mid 60s across most of the state. and Sunday? Folks, we're talking low to mid 70s. That's 34 degrees above normal for late February. Windows down, grill fired up, the whole deal.
