Episode 32: A Flair, A Boss, A Hugger, and a...River Dancer? (WWE NXT, June 5, 2014-September 11, 2014)
Noobs and Knockouts Podcast by William Leach
Episode notes
On this week's episode of the Noobs and Knockouts Podcast, we start a brand new arc, this time in WWE's developmental show, NXT. We start to follow the journeys of the fabled "4 Horsewomen of NXT" across 14 months, as we see the start of the Women's Revolution in WWE. And instead of watching one show, we're watching one segment each from 3 months of shows! It's pretty great. On this episode we talk about the history of NXT and how women's wrestling was taken more seriously in that environment, terrible Irish stereotype gimmicks, how Bayley fits in the John Cena mold better than John Cena does, Charlotte and Sasha having actual defined character traits beyond being mean girls (gasp), things you pick up on watching the same wrestlers progress over time, some killer women's matches, and so much more! Won't you join us?
