In this episode, I’m calling out the lie most of us were raised on: that the goal is to be “normal.” Normal is constantly consuming. Normal is always busy. Normal is scrolling and comparing your life to strangers on the internet. Normal is exhausted, overwhelmed, and wondering why life feels so empty when you’re doing everything you’re “supposed” to do.
When you really zoom out, “normal” doesn’t look that great: overweight, stressed, in debt, checked out of their marriage, and counting down the hours in a job they don’t even like. Normal is living in lack – lack of time, lack of energy, lack of money, lack of real joy. Yet we’ve had this version of life pushed on us so hard that we keep chasing it, then blaming ourselves when it doesn’t feel good.
