Today’s reading takes us to 1 Peter 5, where Peter closes his letter by calling shepherds to lead with humility and the church to live under the mighty hand of God. Peter does not write as someone above the people, but as a fellow elder, a witness of Christ’s sufferings, and one who knows that glory is coming. Wherever there is suffering with Christ, glory is never far behind.
