Good morning. New York. I'm Aaron Jolly.
Step outside right now and you're walking into a wall of fog. Forty-seven degrees and visibility so low you could lose your car in your own driveway. But here's the good news. That fog clears by mid-morning as a cold front sweeps through, bringing scattered showers before 8 A.M. Then the sun breaks through and temperatures climb.
Down in New York City, you'll hit 65 degrees this afternoon. That's 23 degrees above normal for early March — feels more like late April. Tonight drops to 47. The Capital Region sees 54 today with a chance of morning showers, then clears to partly sunny skies. Tonight dips to 36. Western New York stays cooler at 45 with patchy fog lingering until 1 P.M. Winds gust to 35 miles an hour there — hold onto your hats. Central New York reaches 54 with partly sunny conditions.
