Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly. Welcome to the New York Weather Podcast for Wednesday, February 25th.
That half inch of fresh snow on your windshield this morning? Just the appetizer. A clipper system is carving through the state right now. And where you live determines what kind of day you're having.
Down in the city, you lucked out. A slight chance of snow before 11 A.M., then the clouds break apart. Highs hit 42 degrees with a southwest breeze around 14 miles an hour. Tonight stays comfortable.. 33 degrees. Not bad for late February.
Now push north to the Capital Region and the story flips. Snow is likely through 10 A.M. Then it quiets down before round two fires up late afternoon, peaking around 8 P.M. Highs only scratch 37 degrees. Tonight drops to 21. That's a 12 degrees colder night than Manhattan.
