The White Mountains are sitting at 35 degrees. Meanwhile, down in the valleys of Central New Hampshire? Twenty three degrees. That's right. The mountaintops are warmer than the lowlands. Classic temperature inversion, and it's a head scratcher. Here's the deal. Southern New Hampshire wakes up at 34 degrees with a light northeast breeze. About a coin flip on seeing some rain or wintry mix later today. Nothing dramatic, but you'll want your wipers ready. Now drive north into the Lakes Region and Central New Hampshire.
