Good morning. Nevada. I'm Aaron Jolly. If you've got anything on your patio that isn't nailed down. Go check on it. The wind is absolutely cranking today. Las Vegas sees gusts to 30 miles an hour. Down along the Lower Colorado River Valley? That jumps to 50. And the Sierra ridgetops are getting hammered — 60 to 70 miles an hour. That's the kind of wind that makes you lean just to walk straight. Southern Nevada wakes up at 48 degrees this morning and climbs to a comfortable 66 by mid-afternoon under sunny skies. Tonight drops back to 48. Up north, you're starting colder — 26 degrees around 7 A.M. — but you'll warm nicely to 52 by this afternoon. Eastern Nevada splits the difference, topping out at 47 today before falling to 23 tonight. Those winds ease up overnight, but Saturday brings round two. Gusts could hit 55 miles an hour across lower eleva ...
