Having a double identity as a Russian-Finnish - Vasi has a completed view on current geopolitics. She got to Berlin and changed course that started in a 9-17 office job, and now on route to social support. In between she takes time to volunteer with refugees.
Yamen left Syria in 2015 and migrated through various countries as he works in different NGOs and supports other migrants. He reached Berlin and made it his home and now reflects with Need4Deed on the situation both in Syria and in Germany.
This Need4Deed episode, we hear Zhenja's story about the journey Ukraine has made since the collapse of the Soviet Union, up until the moment they took their family amidst heavy fire and fled to Germany in 2022. We also hear about Zhenja's volunteering and engagement within the transgender-migrant community in Berlin and the ongoing battle for equality.
We sit down with Shoaib Salangi and Mutahar Hanifi to hear their stories-from arriving in Berlin as refugees from Afghanistan to volunteering to support others in Berlin.
