Step outside and you'll feel single digit wind chills gnawing at every inch of exposed skin. This is the kind of cold where your nose hairs freeze on the first breath. Here's the deal. Eastern and southeast Nebraska sit at 14 degrees right now. Light north winds around 2 to 3 miles an hour barely register. A stray flurry might drift through, but don't count on anything sticking. Tonight those lows crash to near zero. Sunday brings a slow crawl back toward 20 degrees. Still brutal. Now drive west and it gets worse.
