Are we living in a Simulation?

In 1977, Philip K. Dick, the author responsible for the creation mind-bending science fiction such as the Matrix, Blade Runner, the Man in the High Castle and the Adjustment Bureau said, “We are living in a computer generated reality and the only clue we have to it is when some variable is changed and some alteration in our reality occurs.”

He claimed that he could remember an alternative reality before the ‘program’ was rewound and rerun with alterations.

Is it a possibility? An MIT scientist or two believe that it could be.
