After having to break into his own apartment, Ellen is discovered lying on her back in the kitchen floor with a knife sticking out of her heart. After more investigation, twenty stab wounds were found along with some other strange injuries. Detectives have pinned this as a suicide, but would Ellen really do this to herself?
