Welcome to our mini-series, “The Invisible World of Women’s Correctional Healthcare.” Throughout this mini-series, we have collaborated with the Unborn Prisoner Project to delve into the experiences of women while incarcerating and the impact of those experiences after release. Tune in for the next 3-weeks as we explore the healthcare needs and challenges of women, the impact of incarceration, and policy actions.

Our 1st episode, the co-collaborators of the Unborn Prisoner Project, KJ Johnson and Kaitlynn Johnson, joined us to discuss the prevalence of pregnancy behind bars, the specific healthcare needs of women incarcerated, and adverse effects on their needs.
