In a culture that elevates family as the ultimate source of identity and fulfilment, Jesus offers a radically different vision: he shows us what it means that his Father is also our Father. Furthermore, discipleship to Christ reorders our deepest loves and loyalties, for belonging to God’s family is not secondary, but central to the gospel: it’s a gift that reshapes every other relationship.
