Before labor & delivery, Karla worked in pediatric med-surg and mental health, and the girls talk about how that experience shaped the way she connects so deeply with patients — especially the ones who are guarded, anxious, or carrying past trauma. They also get into family life, motherhood, and the personal experiences that gave Karla a level of empathy that can’t be taught in nursing school.
